Intro

How it all began

Lapland had fascinated me since childhood, and the moment I first found myself in the northern landscape, I knew it would stay with me.

From the beginning, I paid close attention to Sámi culture, an inseparable part of the region. I met locals, visited museums and cultural centres, observed traditional crafts and learned about religion and joik singing.

My journeys through Lapland therefore became more than geographical discovery; they became a cultural and personal development. I realized this region cannot be understood only as a natural destination, but also as the home of people whose heritage and way of life give Lapland its true meaning.

2023

From fascination to vision

Towards the end of 2023, I began gathering deeper information and systematically mapping individual areas. Gradually, I travelled through nearly every corner of Lapland — from Norwegian fjords and Swedish mountain ranges to Finnish lakes, the heart of Sámi culture.

Each of these journeys brought new experience that became the foundation for the first itineraries. A clear vision gradually grew out of personal fascination: Roam Lapland, a project created to offer others the chance to discover this unique region in its full natural, cultural and historical depth.

2024

First trips

The first tour took place in October 2024. One of our important milestones was also a tour for a senior representative of Česká spořitelna.

From the very beginning, we have aimed to maintain a high standard and show every group what truly defines Lapland. We put our heart into each tour. For us, this is not just work — it is a passion we are happy to share.

One of our main goals is not to give in to mass tourism and to keep our tours as authentic as possible.
